Multifunctional chair

MODIG
Challenge
Design a multifunctional furniture piece that adapts to everyday life.
MODIG is a two-in-one chair that shifts naturally between dining and lounging, designed with focus on human behavior, adaptability, and comfort.
Process
With MODIG, I wanted to explore how one piece of furniture could respond to different postures, moods, and moments without compromising on clarity of form.
The project began with user centered research and ergonomic mapping, followed by sketches, moodboard, and digital 3D modeling in SolidWorks and K shot.
Using a functional design logic, I focused on how the chair could invite movement, while keeping the construction intuitive and efficient.
Outcome
Modig bridges the gap between function and emotion.
It’s bold in form, calm in presence, and quietly dynamic in use.
Sit up. Lean back.
One chair becomes two experiences.
