Hope for Equality
This coffee table was created to tell a story about balance, contrast, and coexistence. At first glance, it is two halves: light and dark, smooth and textured, different yet inseparable. Together they form one object, held in place by a central core.
Running through the design is a thin red line, a quiet detail and it symbolizes blood, a reminder that no matter our differences, we all share the same humanity.
The design journey began with sketches and material experiments, exploring how duality could be expressed through form and touch. Through iterations of 3D modeling, mock-ups, and contrast studies, the idea gradually took shape.
The outcome is more than just a coffee table. It is a visual metaphor: equality is not about being the same, but about coexisting with respect and interdependence. One table. Two sides. One thread of red. One message
